| The Wood River Fire & Rescue Firefighters’ Association is introducing a scholarship program for the 2010/2011 academic year.
The Association will award a scholarship of up to $500 to a Blaine County student or students seeking an education in Healthcare or Fire Science. The Association will award one new student, each year, with a scholarship, as long as all requirements are met, and allow that student to reapply the next year if the student maintains a 3.0 GPA or higher during their first year of study. This program will continue annually for a maximum of two scholarships awarded per year. The Wood River Fire & Rescue Firefighters’ Association envisions this as an ongoing project and is committed to provide support to students interested in public safety for years to come. Please complete and submit the Wood River Fire & Rescue Firefighters’ Association Scholarship application and essay questions no later than May 21st, 2010. Late applications will not be accepted. The top ten applicants will be invited to an interview the week of June 7th, 2010.
